Unfamiliar with the name? Now it’s time for you to get to know him better. Rafi Haikal is the founder of Project Bhinneka that is focusing on exposing the talented and skilled Indonesian youths in a big platform. Together with his bestfriend, Valerie Thomas, Haikal hopes that the movement will encourage millennials to be comfortable to their own skins and bring their confidences back. Having a small talk with the busy boy, Letter F found him really sincere with his vision and mission about the project.
What makes you busy these days?
“I’ve been busy these days preparing for the first Project Bhinneka exhibition especially. Valerie and me really worked our head off for the project. Our vision are very specific and we wanted it to be perfect. That was why we really paid attention to this project. But other than that, I have an upcoming movie project. I just joined the entertainment industry by casted in one horror movie.”
You have no me-time, then?
“I literally spent my spare time by sleeping. The last time I had a spare time was about only 30 minutes, so I strolled around the city with Val by riding my Vespa. It was refreshing enough.”
Being a part of millennials, are you satisfied with your achievement right now?
“I am but I’m still hungry for it. I’m also very thankful for the opportunities. Since I’m ambitious, I love being busy. I don’t like to relax around and do nothing. It’s like I’m like looking for a busy life (laugh).”
Your ideal of major accomplishment?
“I want people to look at me as who I am because I’m really trying my best here. I’m doing what I love and I want to present it to other people wholeheartedly.”
