The Path of the Underdog, Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa, the true underdog who managed to create his own success with his talents.

Going by the name of Wiz Khalifa with the meaning of wisdom and successor, Wiz ruled his life just the way he wanted it to be. Starting his career as early as 15 years old, Wiz amazed a studio called I.D Labs by his impressive lyrics. The studio then allowed him to practice there for free. Going back and forth to the studio throughout his high school life, Wiz is soon found by Rostrum Records which later worked with him for the next 10 years. Wiz began gaining more fans towards his singles after he released his full-length album, Show and Prove. In 2007, his single called ‘Say Yeah’ climbed into the top 20 of Billboard’s Hot Rap Tracks, becoming his first ever single that topped the chart.

Putting his name on the map, Wiz made many groundbreaking singles throughout his career, such as Black and Yellow, We Dem Boyz, See You Again, and Who I Am. Starting from the bottom to where he is now, Wiz realized that there are so many young rappers looking up after him. Feeling the responsible of that, Wiz recruited some young talents in hoping to make them grow with their own talents.
