5 Steps to Stay Sane During Self-Quarantine

As the coronavirus has officially been declared as pandemic by WHO, we are demanded, and forced to adjust to a new lifestyle to minimize the chance of getting infected, and it’s by distancing yourselves from the crowd, aka self-quarantine.

Unfortunately, during self-quarantine it becomes  easy to feel helpless and unsure of how exactly to stay sane. Hence, here are 5 steps that you actually stay sane during the outbreak.
  • Find your own ways to stay cope and relax
As someone who is used to working from 9-5, staying home and disconnecting from a lot of people can be stressful, so it’s important to find your “busy” but “not really” ways during this time. Write down your own timeline to finish your work and have your “zen” time in a day. Pace yourself between stressful activities, and do something fun after a hard task.
  • Stay connected with others
In this era, everyone can stay connected throughout the distance and time. Use this time to reconnect with your friends and family, slide your video call mode and enjoy this other form of human interaction. By doing this, you also enable the heart-to-hearts conversation, even across distance.
  • Educate yourself with the current situation
You may have read multiple articles about the current situation, or you may have listened to this topic here and there, but it won’t hurt to actually educate yourself regarding this matter. Ensure you have what you need to feel safe, secure, and comfortable.
  • Have some time with your furry friends
We’ve once come across this topic on how furry friends are meant so much to you, here, so if you have a pet, it’s time to keep them real close and let them heal you.
  • Stay out of the routine
Being in a self-quarantine would make you do your things in routine that will lead you to boredom. Thus, try to do new things every once in a while, for example, you can try to take a walk around your house complex, try some new yoga poses, finish a book, or try something creative like drawing or coloring.
