Wishing everyone be blessed with everything good in life. Hopes, dreams, positive thoughts, and add to the list the alluring fashion influencer Arnold Teja. Being a 21-year-old guy with a celebrated recognition from fashion enthusiasts humble Arnold, such label does not go up to his head. Off camera, he is shy and observant. On camera, Arnold is a whole different person—it’s as if he knows how to entice camera.
He also happens to be a model with 183cm in height. With that height and mysterious aura, he simply captivates people around him. He has modeled for top brands from Uniqlo, Topman, Giordano and Pedro.
Hi, Arnold. As a blogger, share us about your first time being a model?
“I actually started blogging back in 2011. While I was blogging, a friend of mine offered me to be a model. I basically agreed to the notion and the photoshoot was taken. I didn’t know that the photoshoot was for a famous magazine and was taken by the talented photographer Nicoline Patricia. Since then, everything fell into places from photoshoot to runway gigs.”
Busy since young age with blogging, modeling, studying, and working at the same time. What do you do during your spare time?
“I love watching movies. I don’t know I always found myself in front of laptop and streaming such movies in my spare time. Or else, I would be blogging. But, I also enjoy myself doing sort of travelling. Lately, I want to go to Japan, because the country has its own charm and it attracts me to go there. Especially when it’s spring in Japan when the sakura trees bloom. I think I want to go there either on spring or autumn.”
Any favorite places you frequently visit during weekends?
“Well, I usually do some photosoots during weekends. Whereas all the blogger invites mainly take place during weekdays. I like to travel if I have a long weekend, I love quiet places. I don’t like malls because it’s too crowded. I wouldn’t go to malls unless I have important matters to do or to buy. I like to spend my weekends in a calm and cozy coffee shop like Crematology in Senopati.”
Your idea of a perfect weekend?
“Hmm, we all know weekend consists of Saturday and Sunday only, so I prefer go to Pulau Seribu on Saturday morning and going back to Jakarta on Sunday. I love enjoying the beach view, the sun, I prefer beaches to mountains. My fave beach spots are always Bali. Forever Bali.”
Your line of work enables you to be familiar with fashion industry and the trend that follows, but how do you state your style?
“My style? It’s a bit of mixed everything. I don’t do one particular style, because I often do mix and match and combine two or more styles in one look. My style also depends on my mood that day. For example, if I feel like pulling a classic, I would wear classic clothes. Other times, I’d like to pull a bit of rock and roll, or maybe a merge of style between the two. My current fashion obsession would be Gucci slippers, my all-time fave fashion piece to wear currently.”
What do you tell yourself whenever you’re feeling down?
“When I’m feeling like doing nothing, I seek for a motivation from my closest family or friends. Even when I feel tired, I would take a break and rest for a while. Refreshing myself and start to continue again.”
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
“I’m definitely still blogging and modelling. And I hope that I already establish my own clothing line and become an awesome graphic designer.”
