Red carpet wise, that is. For the past couple of years, it’s inevitable that all eyes are in serious glare for everything South Koreans has to offer. From Apple’s own rival Samsung to the many girl and boybands. BTS, one of the celebrated boyband name from the country, has succesfully shut down American Music Awards 2017. In style.
The boy band sensation returned to the West Coast for the second US awards show after last May’s Billboards Music Awards. Clearly owning the red carpet everywhere they go, this time around BTS wore Saint Laurent’s sleek looks designed by Anthony Vaccarello. 7 modern black suits, each tailored to the individual.
V chose a sleek black jacket with a Mandarin collar and silver military buttons running down the front with oversize suit pants, while Suga wore a cropped lapel-less coat over a cream-colored henley. Jin also went sans lapel in black tuxedo satin, which blended seamlessly with Jungkook and RM’s head-to-toe black (the former went classic, the latter added leather). The final two members, Jimin and J-Hope, chose to branch out: Jimin by adding a gunmetal moto jacket, J-Hope with a modernized changshan suit coat.
