Introducing the stylish woman behind the local brand Mad For Lipstick, Samira Alatas. The brand was established in October 2016 and has rapidly became the most wanted lipstick to buy by every fashion enthusiast. Letter F met Samira during the NOHO The Label vol. 2 x Mad For Lipstick event on May 19th, 2017, at Brand Outlet’s pop-up store, level 4, Plaza Indonesia.
Samira shared the philosophy behind the brand,
“We designed ‘Mad For Lipstick’ for women who want to express their personality through the color of lipstick. We emphasized the diversity of each woman’s personality into the chosen color of our lipsticks. We only focus on the lip product because we believe that lipstick made the best statement for women. It also can be the source of every woman’s daily look mood.”
The shades of the lipstick are also suitable for any occasion, from dailywear to special events. You can choose from Femme Fatale, Lady Like, Sweet Violet, Introvert, Alpha, and Desire. What’s her suggestion of which color to wear for work or special event? “It depends. Personally, I like bold color for work. Although people told me that it was too bold, I didn’t care because that’s what I like. It’s personal preference, simply choose the one you like.”
With the same goal and purpose, Samira nodded to Brand Outlet being the right medium to expose the main aspiration of Mad For Lipstick. “I hope Brand Outlet will grow stronger and inspire many local brands in Indonesia. As for Mad For Lipstick, I hope the brand becomes famous for its appreciation towards woman’s personality, that beauty lies within you.”
