BLACKPINK has made history, being the first ever K-Pop girl group to ever grace the stage of Coachella.
The South Korean pop girl band made their debut at the biggest festival in the US, Coachella. Performing on the first day of the annual festival, it’s their first ever full length US concert. They kicked off the Sahara Stage, the location where the festival took place. Ever since Coachella announced that the girls were going to be one of the lineups, BLINKS, even locals, couldn’t stop talking about their excitement of BLACKPINK’s appearance. Sharing the stage with other big musical acts like Diplo, Wiz Khalifa, and Jaden Smith, the girls shared to the crowd that they were “excited to be here tonight” and it was “an honor to be a part of Coachella.”
Performing their banger songs such as DDU DU DDU DU, BOOMBAYAH, FOREVER YOUNG, WHISTLE, and their recently released single, KILL THIS LOVE, BLACKPINK successfully rocked their on-point choreography, wearing elegant two piece clothes – coordinated in black and white outfits with full of astonishing jewels. The ladies left a magnificent impression on the whole venue and wowed the audience with their mesmerizing visuals and unforgettable stage presence. They sing in English, they sing in Korean, it doesn’t matter which. As what Rosé said on stage, ”Us coming all over from South Korea, we didn’t know what to expect, and obviously we, you guys and us, are from totally different worlds. But, tonight I think we’ve learned so deeply that music brings us as one.”
