One of the biggest cognac producers in the world, Remy Martin, was founded way back in 1724 in the city of Cognac, France. And fast forward to 2017, the celebrated brand has dispersed and dispatched to quench every Cognac aficionado’s thirst. Including that of Jakartans, precisely on September 29th, 2017, in Dirty Laundry.
To date, the brand uses only grapes grown in the highest-quality vineyards of the Cognac region, the Grande and Petite Champagne, whose chalky soil ensures aromatic richness.
Cognac’s aroma relies on using the very best fruit, the cellar master will visit vineyards already during harvest and taste the grapes for the right amount of acidity. The secret to the most aromatic grapes lies in the soil in which the vines grow. At Rémy Martin, they only use grapes from the highest-quality growing regions, or crus—the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, together called the Fine Champagne.
