Stress is real, it starts in our mind and can affect the entire function of your body system.
Most people would say “just take it easy” but it actually doesn’t do any helps for those whom already wrapped in their own stress and it’s definitely impossible for them to relax. The belief in your ability to cope with a stressful situation determines your level of suffering; let us give you some steps to help you getting away from those grey clouds.
Listen to Binaural Beats
Listening to some binaural beats is different from listening to your favorite songs. If your calming songs are rock and roll, you have to try this one. Rocks might make you feel happy but it won’t calm down your nerves – contrary to binaural beats. You can find these beats online; binaural beats are some rhythm that is different for each of your ear, it is made that way because your brain actually listens to two different tones. These beats are the best to help you meditate into a deep sleep, or even to enhance your cognitive ability.
Your surroundings are the most important element to help you wind down. When you’re feeling low, a good conversation with loved ones can help you through some mindful supports. So talk to others, it can be face-to-face or through phones, just do it. That way, you can refresh your mind with a new perspective.
Take a 5-minute Break
Meditation is great, but what if you’re in the middle of a very important meeting, and you only have 5 minutes break? Go find a quiet place and take very deep breaths, pay attention to your heartbeats. Focus on inhaling and exhaling oxygen and let your brain absorbs as many oxygen as it can, let your heart beat normally and let your nerves calm down. It only takes 5 minutes, but you can have your head cleared afterwards.
Drink Some Teas
Believe it or not, tea can actually relieve your amount of stress. You can use both dry and fresh leaves to make tea. For dry leaves, you can add one tablespoon of sugar to boiling water, then leave it for about 4 minutes before adding the leaves. Let it simmer for about two minutes before you have your tea. The best tea to relieve stress are: peppermint tea, chamomile tea, passion flower tea, lemon tea and last but not least, green tea. Go dip your teas and let your mind ease down.
Close your eyes, relax your neck and all the way to your back. Place a warm towel around your shoulders and your neck, then let it rest for 10 minutes. When it’s done you can use a tennis ball or whatever you can find around you to massage your neck and your shoulder. This little moves can help your nerves to slow down and help your mind take a break.
Stress can drive you crazy without your own consent, anytime and anywhere. Every day is a rough day, it’s always an exhausting one and if we don’t take care of ourselves, life is only going to get thougher. Hence, since you are the one who knows yourself the best, please keep it in your mind that your mental health is way more important than your piled up works.
