F Creator: Gege Elisa and Meliana Canero from Aria

Introducing the next F Creator from The F Thing are the ladies of ARIA: Gege Elisa and Meiliana Canero who project their idea of feminine, carefree, casual, and independent women through their designs. Although Gege is busy with her job as an actress, it doesn’t stop her to be productive and to be a fashion creator. With the help of Meiliana, the two shape the local fashion industry with their fashion designs.

So what do you have in mind when you’re designing Aria?
Gege Elisa: “Myself. Because I make the designs based on the clothes preferences that I like, which is mostly shirts.”
Meliana: “Besides Gege’s preference, we try to look at the latest trend and then infuse it to our brand. Our designs are mostly casual, that’s why you can wear them on daily basis.”
What are your roles in ARIA?
Gege Elisa: “I design the clothes and I’m also the face of the brand.”
Meliana: “I handle the production of the brand.”
Since pastel colors dominate the collection, do you want to try bold colors in your next collection?
Gege Elisa: “Would love to! In fact, we have infused bold colors for our new collection. Besides that, we will also have new patterns for the new collection —and it’s all inspired from Japanese culture and fashion scene. I’m digging how bold their fashion statements are.”
Meliana: “We do prefer pastel and warm colors, but it doesn’t rule out the possibility for us to have the bold color collection later. Trying out new concept is exiciting.”
How many collection have you released to date?
Gege Elisa: “We already have twelve collection up to this day.”
Meliana: “It’s around twelve but we don’t have exact time to release our collection. Whenever we have the idea to make a new collection, we would produce it right away.”
We can see that you guys love shirts, so what will we see in the next collection of yours?
Gege Elisa: “Yes, we would also love to try others, maybe next year or in the coming years.”
Meliana: “Absolutely. We aim to also design dresses, jumpsuits and outers in our collection next time. We would also love to have our own premium collection.”
