Tuesday, August 6, 2019
The Duchess of Sussex is going to be the guest-editor of 2019 September issue of British Vogue.
Titled “Forces for Change” it will features more than 15 most influential females of the world. It’s been a working process for seven months in collaboration with Edward Enninful, British Vogue’s Editor in Chief. As September issue is the most important of them all, this edition will steer its focus on the values, causes and people making impact in the world today.
Meghan is the first guest editor of September issue in 103-years of the magazine industry. This issue will feature an exclusive candid conversation between the Duchess and Michelle Obama. You can see actress, models, politician, authors and advocates on the cover and it will also talk about diversity, mental health, climate change, and voting rights.
The mother of one is not the first royal features in British Vogue. For the 100th anniversary special issue in 2016, Kate Middleton appeared on the cover photographed by Josh Olins. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were also featured in last year’s September issue to speak about their sibling bond and Eugenie’s wedding. But the most memorable of all is Princess Diana for British Vogue in 1990 shot by Patrick Demarchelier.
