What made you shift your career from singing to acting and hosting?
“With a very idealist mindset, I’ve started my career as a jazz singer. It was pretty hard for me to do since jazz wasn’t popular at the time. My dad then told me to consider trying a more mainstream genre, or even to change my career to something more promising. So I tried acting and it turned out amazing, since then I started my career as an actor and a host.”
What is the proudest moment so far during your years in the showbiz industry?
“I have two of them, actually. First one was when I joined a competition for short movies and I got into the top 5. I really didn’t expect that I would make it into top 5. The second one was when I filmed in Malaysia and I left an impression that represents quality acting in Indonesian actor.”
Your biggest influence must be your dad. Do you got compared a lot?
“People tend to compare me with him in terms of our acting ability. They would measure whether the acting quality is on par or not, I took that as a challenge to overcome. Dad also always said to take challenges as a stimulation, to become better and it will become an achievement for me.”
