This may be a very uncomfortable thing to talk about but it is a very fundamental thing within your current relationship and how you want to take it to the future, so you got to push away your ego and be honest toward each other about it.

Stop ignoring the annoying habits that your partner do, both of you must have your own pet peeves, so talking about it may be the best course of action.

It is utterly normal to argue between couple as long as you do it healthily. Be the ears to each other’s opinions and stay respectful.

Let go of your too-high expectations will allow you to be more open to each other’s flaws and eventually be more acceptable to each other’s imperfections.
