Korean Horror Movies to Watch

Korean movies are known to be all about dramas and a complicated love stories, but behind all the sugar and spice, Korea is also have a reputation for their heart-thrilling horror movies.

You might have already heard about Train to Busan, Korea’s best zombie movie of all time, but Korea has more than the crawling zombies. Here are the list of Korean horror movies you need to watch with a friend or two—do not watch these alone;
  1. A Tale of Two Sisters
As soon as it released, it became the highest grossing Korean horror movie. It’s about two sisters who came home from a mental institution and got themselves an evil stepmother, vengeful ghosts and many unpleasant situations.

  1. The Wailing
Scoring a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, this one is surely one of the bests, they’ve been remade and hitting $50 million at the box office. The movie is about some residents of a village who get hit with a mysterious disease, the people see it as a disturbance of some ghosts.

  1. Hansel and Gretel
The movie is about a man who got into a car accident on his way to meet his fiancé. Waking up in the forest he met some woman who guided him to her house and she won’t let him escape afterward.

  1. The Silenced
This one is quiet underrated among the others but still a very scary one to watch. It’s about a boarding school with a new transferred student who finds out that there have been some students gone missing. The movie is visually satisfying and it has a little bit of Korean history within its storyline.

  1. Acacia
The story is about a family who adopted a six-year-old-boy from the orphan and suffered from some supernatural events right after the wife got pregnant.
