ISMAYA started from a humble beginning with a single outlet, Blowfish Kitchen and Bar with its original and innovative concept.
A market leader for the past 15 years, ISMAYA Group now owns and operates 22 exceptional lifestyle brands that encompass restaurants, lounges and entertainment, stretched out between Bali, Jakarta and Dubai. Many of ISMAYA’s food and beverage establishments have amassed awards and praise due to its exciting food options, stunning presentation and elegant design. For instance, GIA became the first Indonesian brand to win the prestigious Asia Pacific Design Award in 2015. Whereas, ISMAYA’s entertainment brands, such as the internationally acclaimed Dragonfly and Djakarta Warehouse Project, continue to set the benchmark for other players in the industry.
Eager to continue its achievements, on its 15th anniversary, ISMAYA is going big by not only opening outlets outside of Jakarta, but also continuing its expansion outside of Indonesia. In the first quarter of 2018, ISMAYA opened two outlets in two countries: GIA in Dubai, UAE, and Sushigroove in Shanghai, PRC. Following its international expansion, ISMAYA will open four of its unique brands: Mr. Fox, The People’s Café, Tokyo Belly and Djournal Coffee, in Surabaya starting in April 2018. It is not only ISMAYA’s restaurant and lifestyle establishments that are expanding. This year, ISMAYA Live is set to venture out Asia’s biggest dance festival – Djakarta Warehouse Project to China for the first time ever. More expansion, be it domestically or internationally, can also be expected from ISMAYA Group this year.
With 15 years of sterling experience under its belt, ISMAYA Group is determined to make 2018 a year of celebration. In conjunction with its 15th anniversary, ISMAYA will hold a series of activities and programs throughout the year where customers can touch, feel and join in the celebration. The first anniversary program will consist of sharing the Good Life to unfortunate children. With a Corporate Social Responsibility titled “A Plate Of Dreams, A Spoonful Of Hope”, ISMAYA will fundraise to bring education to hundreds of children all over Jakarta. A special menu will be available at all ISMAYA outlets from 16 April to 16 June 2018 where profits will go straight to the ISMAYA Scholarship Program.
The celebration also continues with ISMAYA 15 Birthday competition on Instagram. With hundreds of million Rupiah in value to be won, anyone can participate in the competition by uploading their birthday wishes for #ISMAYA15 in video, photo or boomerang form on Instagram.
