Local Coffee Brand Kopi Kenangan Got Invested by Jay- Z and Serena Williams?

The American rapper, Jay-Z, and the tennis queen, Serena Williams are recently written as one of few investors for the currently hype local coffee, Kopi Kenangan.
As Indonesians know, coffee-to-go is what’s in trend right now, nearly everybody post their shots with coffee in hand on their Insta. And as such, the rapid growth has influenced many investors in which business to invest on next.
“Serena and Jay-Z are investing,” said Edwird Tirtanarta, CEO and Co-Founder of Kopi Kenangan, to Kumparan. Kopi Kenangan itself has been garnering quite the investments from Alpha JWC Ventures and Sequoia India, and has 2300 branches in total all across Indonesia. According to Roc Nation Company, Jay-Z applied to invest, as well as Serena Williams (via Serena Ventures) and NBA player Caris LeVert.
