Meet Charlie and Kristine from Looking for Alaska

Adaptation from the immensely popular novel by John Green–Looking for Alaska is coming soon on Hulu and will be played by Charlie Plummer and Kristine Froseth.

Looking for Alaska is going to premiere its first episode on Hulu in less than three months. “The eight-episodes series will follow the book’s stories accordingly, and it will also tackle the book’s “male gaze” problem,” explained Josh Schwartz, the co-executive producer of the series. He describes the series as something that the fans would love as it really talks about the limited male gaze and played by amazing actors.
Kristine Froseth aka Alaska in the series promised to bring Alaska in a humanly form as possible. “We made sure she felt human, a regular teenager, and added in a lot of private moments that help show that,” she explained.
The book has received so much love and support when it first came out in 2005. In fact, Green has been called out multiple times for his use of what’s described in literature and film as the “manic pixie dream girl” trope, a pretty widespread phenomenon in YA literature, especially if it’s written by a male author.
So here they are the main actors for the series, Kristine Froseth and Charlie Plummer, looking as close as the characters they’re currently playing.
