Meet the ‘Gypsy-turned-Model’ Claudia Lambert!

She’s definitely one of the hippest bae on the Island of Gods – Letter F chats with the British-Indonesian-Dutch model.

What are you up to lately? What projects that keep you busy these days?
Lately, I have just been focused on my university degree in Art History: Art, Media and Society, and that has been keeping me very busy.

Do you have any influence in fashion/beauty? What’s you personal style like?
I wouldn’t say that I have a big influence in fashion or beauty, but my personal style leans towards more grunge and comfortable styles. I don’t really like to wear dresses and skirts in my spare time but I do love black jeans, leather ankle boots and a cool jacket (like an army coat or leather jacket) as a go to style.

Besides modelling, what are your passions in life?
Besides modelling, my passion in life would have to be art, I just love to paint and draw. Oh and food! I just love to learn new recipes and eat new things, to me it’s the best way to get know a country’s culture.

What are the things that you pursue in life right now? Modelling/traveling/social media influencing?
Currently I plan on doing a bit more modelling overseas, but my main aspirations for now is to travel and see as much of the world as I possibly can. Some things on my current travel bucket list are to visit Alaska, Norway or Morocco.

Can you share us about your first contact with the modeling world?
My first experience with the modeling world must have been when I was about 13/14 in London, I was at an under 18s concert when a lady came and asked if I wanted to join a modelling competition, I agreed as I thought no way would I win (and I didn’t win) but the agency still wanted to see me so I went to their office, had a little meeting and was handed a contract then and there. It was all so surreal and cool!

What’s the most interesting moment during modeling that you’ve get along the way?
The most interesting and exciting modeling moment was when I got a call saying that I was going to do a walk for Chanel in Jakarta.

Can you share your personal beauty/fashion secret to our readers?
For fashion, I always like to say, even if it is cheesy, that you should wear anything you feel like a superhero in, something that makes you feel confident and great about yourself.
