This year’s MTV Movie Awards served some fun summery looks from the ladies of “Riverdale”, the queen of fashion Zendaya and “Black-ish” actress Yara Shahidi to name a few. Here are some of our favorite looks from the red carpet:
Although Riverdale did not win big this year, Madelaine Petsch won the Best Scene Stealer Award for her role as our favorite Queen Bee, Cheryl Blossom. For the red carpet, on and off-screen BFFs Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart matched in black lace dresses that totally scream dark vintage vibes. However, Madelaine Petsch slayed the carpet with her pink princess-sparkled Prada dress. Her look added a classic whimsical touch to the awarding night which best known for its quirky looks. Who wouldn’t want to twirl around in her dress?
If there’s one actress whose fashion taste never lets us down, it’s Zendaya, for sure. This year, the queen herself dawned the red carpet in an August Getty number reminiscing of teacups, umbrellas and a chocolate Hershey’s kiss. We also love how her pumps match her dress.
“Black-ish” star Yara Shahidi wore a custom Tory Burch ice blue suit styled with Tiffany and Co. jewelry and paired with Louboutin heels. Her look is giving us serious girl boss feels. You can totally do anything wearing that suit.
Pop princess Halsey stole our hearts with this red-hot gown by Julien MacDonald. The thigh-high slit and cut-out detailing showed off her figure really well. Her look was, of course, completed with matching Jimmy Choo sandals and her beau, rapper G-Eazy by her side.
“13 Reasons Why” actress Katherine Langford turned heads with this bold fashion statement. Dressed in a sleeveless black Armani jumpsuit and velvet overskirt, her all-black outfit matched her gorgeous half-ponytail and giant black tulle bow. Her look totally shows her cool personality.
Last but not least, we can’t miss out T’Challa or the Black Panther himself. This year was Black Panther’s year at the MTV Movie Awards with four wins and seven nominations in total. As for the red carpet, Chadwick Boseman showed up in an Off-White painted denim combo that reminded us of an impressionist artwork paired with a black-and-white Monet-inspired shirt from the Resort 2019 collection. Now we know what you’re thinking; denim-on-denim doesn’t work. But on Chadwick, it magically does!
