Nike’s Chinese New Year Commercial is Clever and Here’s Why

Chinese New Year is approaching and Nike is very early in the game. They display traditional family values, good manners and a variety of new kicks.
The commercial itself shows the relationship between a Chinese girl and aunt who constantly trying to gift her niece a traditional red envelope aka Hóng Bāo. The girl keep refusing it as she grows up, while running a way while wearing varius Nike silhouettes. They move from the house, to a closed up traditional market, crossing the beautiful night market full of lanterns while finally running through a beautiful scenery and get in mind that the auntie has been running the whole time with the girl. She finally catch up with her and finally they go home together.
