No Met Gala this Year

Anna Wintour as the chairwoman of Met Gala, announced that The Met Gala is postponed to no future date.

The buzziest gathering including fashion, politics and celebrity is being postponed due to the outbreak of the new Corona Virus; with gatherings of 50 people or more and hundreds of crew and media, the idea of Met Gala this year is truly a no-go.
The Gala itself usually attracts millions of eyeballs on social media as guests come with elaborated, avant-garde outfit according to the chosen theme. It is also an annual fund-raising party , just like last year for “Camp: Notes on Fashion” raised $15million alone from only 550 guest. A table usually cost around $200.000 while individual ticket would cost $35.000 and can only be purchased by invitation.
This year’s Gala is supposed to be co-hosted by Nicolas Chesquière of Louis Vuitton, Emma Stone as the brand ambassador of Louis Vuitton, Meryl Streep and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Looking at the cast also the fact that last year was an explosion of color, this year’s Gala was expected to be more classic and timeless.
Well maybe after all this epidemic over?
