Nominated for Oscar 2020, Parasite Wins in London Film Critics

Nominated in six different categories at Oscar 2020, Parasite has won an award from the 40th London Film Critics.
The event won the film as Film of the Year and gave the Director of the Year trophy to Bong Joon Ho.
Parasite has earned USD161.5 million from its broadcast on the global market, also managed to penetrate four British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) nominations. They entered BAFTA in four categories: Best Film, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. These nominations are the second time for South Korean cinemas to be nominated in BAFTA, after The Handmaiden directed by Park Chan Wook which won the Best Foreign Language Film in 2018.
On the other hand, the award-winning movie, Parasite is also nominated for Oscar 2020, marking it as the first Korean movie that ever been nominated for the Best Pictures at the Academy Awards. Parasite is also nominated for Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Production Design, and Best Film Editing.
