Over 100 Models Have Signed Petition on Sexual Misconduct

Sexual misconduct in entertainment industries is sadly something we’ve heard constantly. Few weeks ago, over one hundred models have signed a letter released on Tuesday morning to Victoria’s Secret Lingerie Chief Executive John Mehas, urging the brand to make a legally binding commitment to protect  models from sexual misconduct.

There has been some allegation regarding sexual misconduct being done by photographers such as Timur Emek, David Bellemere and Greg Kadel which is deeply disturbing. These men appear to took leveraged form their working relationship with famous celeb such as VS models, Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.
The Model Alliance’s letter calls on VS to sign on to its Respect program,  which is designed by models and released in 2018 to formalize the ways in which models can report workplace problems across industries and create an independent body to investigate complaints, as well as provide education and training.
Since Victoria’s Secret always use supermodel in their campaigns they have the opportunity to be a leader and to use their power and influence to bring changes that are urgently needed in this type of industry.
