Through her Instagram account, Sivia often shares her casual and sporty style—which actually makes her stand out. Her sense of style borders on sporty and as such becomes the reference of fellow hijabers.
The cool girl is majored in fashion design and started to embrace the hijab world per last year and even the public noticed and loved her new look. Music has always been the essential part of her life, that’s why she auditioned for Idola Cilik competition. The other half is all about fashion.
Since you’re really famous from your street style look, let’s talk about what’s the inspiration behind it.
“It just comes randomly. If I see someone wears something that’s visually pleasing, it becomes a consideration to translate and mix and match based on my own style. I’d add fashion items so I could make it my own signature style, per se. I just go with my own flow.”
And how do you combine being sporty while wearing hijab at the same time?
“It’s actually not that much of a problem, simply just wear a long sleeve shirt. Plus, I don’t really like wearing tight shirts—I’ve always loved wearing baggy and oversized tees. I usually wear track pants or jogger pants, and that’s it. My style gradually evolves from looking boyish to masculine, sort of sleek. I ALWAYS wear sneakers, and I personally collect sneakers—they’re definitely a must have fashion for me. Also, I often buy clothes in the Men section, so that’s probably why my style resembles as boyish.”
What is about street style that you love so much?
“The effortless style, people simply wear it because it makes them comfortable. I love street wears so much, because it’s about wearing what makes us feel comfortable. Girls usually would go insecure when they wear oversized hoodies for me nah, I don’t care about it. Once you feel comfortable of pulling your own style, you’ll naturally look amazing.”
