Spotify Mocks the Forest Fires in Indonesia with a Playlist
Saturday, September 21, 2019
Forest fires in Indonesia has been headlining many news for the past weeks, and Spotify alerts its listeners with the most low-key way possible.
Spotify recently released their own playlist, called ‘Hazed and Confused,’ seemingly to mock the lasting forest fires that are happening in the country at the moment. There are 69 songs on the playlist with the titles that not literally tick the listeners. Some of them are Flames by David Guetta, We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel, No Air by Chris Brown, Breathin by Ariana Grande, and many more.
It is reported that the current deforestation is caused by five irresponsible companies and 230 convicts who burned the forest for their own greed. The smoke from the forest fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra has spread around to Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, creating more concerns from neighbor countries.
