Started as an indie band, Reality Club has now upped the ante by marking more global achievements throughout their career, and they do not plan to stop.
As a band of five, Fathia Izzati, Faiz Novascotia, Era Patigo, Iqbal Anggakusumah, and Nugi Wicaksono often play various types of music, though being asked which genre describes them the most, they refuse to label their band with one certain genre.
“That’s probably because as a band, we don’t really define or stick to one genre as we just make music according to what we like and we prefer to leave the classifications to the listeners. But if I have to objectively say our genre is, I think that would be pop rock and a little bit of alternative.” said Fathia Izzati to Letter F.
Starting their career back in 2016, the band incorporates strong emotional messages through their sound and lyrics. Starting from the small room in their house, now, Reality Club has expanded their music globally. The release of their album Never Get Better in Japan has opened their ways to reach their own plateau. Throughout the year, the band has been touring all around the country, not to mention their visit to neighboring countries; Singapore and Malaysia.
This year, Fathia, Faiz, Era, Iqbal, and Nugi open 2020 with another trendsetting news with the release of What Do You Really Know in Japan. And this will be their second album ever released in the country of sunrise. On top of that, the band will also be bringing their latest album to SXSW 2020 in Austin, Texas.
