Disney has released the inaugural teaser for Mulan movie trailer on Sunday, July 7th.
Mulan’s live action movie that will be directed by Niki Caro, whose script was written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. In the one-and-a-half-minute teaser, Mulan, played by Yifei Liu, had to face the struggle to prove that her capacity is equal to a male soldier.
In fact, at that time, the Emperor which played by Jet Li, ordered each family to give their sons to become royal soldiers. Mulan, who was eager to become a soldier, was disappointed because she was forced to become a wife. This teaser trailer became the first announcement from Disney regarding the movie Mulan after previously only showing off Liu’s photo as the Chinese Disney princess in August 2018. This premiere footage of Mulan is not much different from the animated trailer in 1998. At that time, the trailer was discribing Mulan’s inner turmoil and rebellion to continue to choose her heart to become a soldier.
Now, what still causes debate among Disney enthusiasts is the loss of Mushu’s character, namely the little dragon who became Mulan’s mentor and is also an important figure to Mulan herself. What do you think of it?
