The chanter of Dia Tak Cinta Kamu is known to start her career in the Indonesian music industry by participating in The Voice. Unveiling some of her secrets in our Shot Stories segment, Gloria Jessica, or sometimes goes with the nickname GeJe, spilled some of her inside feelings that she has never revealed to anyone before.
What is your biggest insecurity?
“I’m afraid that people would think that I’m not worthy enough to be in the music industry, that I’m not worthy to decide who I am.”
And how do you deal with it?
“Just f*** it, because I know that though the insecurities are there, but good things will also come my way. Every person has the right to decide who they want to be. I always try to be myself and to be proud of myself, that’s the key.”
Do you think you’re in the right industry?
“I am. I can say that because I didn’t grow up having the ambition to be a singer, I also wasn’t planning to be one initially, didn’t even think that I’d end up in this industry at all. That’s why, everything is possible if you dare enough to take the step.”
