Say goodbye to your friendly neighborhood superhero, Spiderman, as portrayed by Tom Holland for the past few years – Marvel Studio is parting ways with the Spiderman’s franchise.
So, the film rights to the superhero are owned by Sony – but he could appear in movies like Avengers: Endgame due to a deal between Sony and Marvel Studios – owned by Disney. Apparently, Sony and Disney couldn’t agree on the share and the studio asked Disney not to continue Kevin Feige as the lead producer for their next installment. Since 2015 , after a disappointing reboot starring Andrew Garfield, Sony decided to enter Disney-owned Marvel Studio (this is when Tom Holland came forward to play the teenage superhero from Queens). Tom Holland have appeared in 4 Avengers movies, and 2 solo movies, which the last one grossed around $1.1 billion. Disney offer 50/50 split and Sony apparently said no, which result in removing Kevin Feige as the producer, also the character from MCU.
