After Kevin Durant’s injury during Playoffs with Portland Trail Blazers couple of months ago, New York Knicks seems unwilling to give a best offer for him. Now he and Kyrie Irving from Boston Celtics will team-up together at the Brooklyn Nets.
Even though Durant won’t be playing the next season due to his injuries, Brooklyn Nets still offer him a four-year $164M deal while Irving received a $141M deal. Besides Durant and Irving, DeAndre Jordan will also be playing for the Nets for 4 years with $40M deal.
After landing some of the best players, Nets still loses one of his prime player, D’Angelo Russell. This looks like a sign-and-trade because, D’Angelo Russell reportedly sign with Golden State Warriors which was Kevin Durant’s previous team.
To accommodate Russell’s four-year, $117 maximum contract, Warrior has to give up DeMarcus Cousins, Quinn Cook, Shaun Livingston and Jordan Bell.
